In the fourth quarter of 2024, the hack and slash category saw intriguing trends across top applications in South Africa. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Kaz Warrior 2: Warzone & RPG from TOH Games showed a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting from 3.9K in early October and peaking at approximately 5.8K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users also increased steadily, reaching around 17.1K towards the end of the quarter.

MARVEL Future Fight by Netmarble experienced a notable surge in both revenue and active users. Weekly revenue peaked at about $2.6K in late November, while weekly active users climbed to over 31.2K at the beginning of December.

Stick Demon Shadow Fight from Mana Games Studio showed consistent growth in active users, reaching about 6.1K in late December. Downloads also saw an upward trend, peaking at approximately 2.5K in the same period.

Ninja Ryuko: Shadow Ninja Game from Monstermob USA steadily increased its weekly downloads, reaching nearly 3K by the end of December. Active user numbers also rose, hitting approximately 12.8K in the final week.

Lastly, Solo Leveling:Arise also from Netmarble, showed a steady increase in downloads, particularly in December, with numbers reaching about 1.5K. Active users saw fluctuations but ended the quarter with around 7.9K.
